Get Vocal About Public Transit Service
“Multiple incidents over the course of the past several weeks have convinced me that the only way to effect any positive change to this city’s woefully inadequate public transit system is to become outspoken about it’s short-comings and to insist on greater accountability for the delivery of such service.”
That was the preface of my letter to the LTC today.
The letter was precipitated by an earlier incident, in which a bus operator would not use the radio to request that a connecting bus wait for me to arrive and transfer to it. The bus to which I wanted to transfer pulled away just as we arrived, and I was made to suffer an additional lengthy stopover before resuming my trip home.
Actual travelling time was only 17 min’s. Total trip time was 75 min’s.
