2006 LTC Operating Budget

In response to my inquiry about Staff Report #2 from the 2006/02/01 agenda, this response from Joanna Kurowski (LTC Manager of Service Quality)…

Make up of the $33,889,300 in revenue from Fares/operating/reserves for Conventional Transit Services.

The following table provides the breakdown of the $33,889,200.

Revenue Amount
Transportation (passenger fares) $ 25,403,200
Operating (interest, advertising, Provincial Gas Tax) (1) 7,729,700
Funding from reserves 756,400
Total $ 33,889,300
(1) includes the expected receipt of $6,863,200 in provincial gas tax funding, which as required is offset by a corresponding contribution to a reserve fund. The use of the moneys in the reserve fund (for capital and operating purposes) is subject to the formal budget approval process.
