From the report of the Transportation Advisory Committee to the 2006/11/20 meeting of ETC:

” That the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) be provided with the opportunity to review the forthcoming report from Engineering staff related to community safety zones, enforcement and public education as the TAC has concerns about the increasing number of fatal collisions between cars and cyclists, as well as between cars and pedestrians in the City…”
