Inflation Outpaces Social Assistance

A report to Hamilton City Council by public health officials reveals that the average cost for groceries in that city is up nearly 9 per cent since last year, based on the Nutritious Food Basket. A stark contrast to the paltry 2% that the governing provincial Liberals increased social assistance in 2006.
