Unlike the way that they make it so difficult on the city’s website, here’s a concise blow-by-blow description of what’s happening in today’s committee meetings at City Hall. Given the way that I’ve laid this out for you, and the fact that the posted times are only approximations (some delegations take a lot longer than indicated), it’s easy to understand how citizens can’t possibly be present for everything that may interest them. Which apparently is just dandy with our elected representatives…

4:00 ETC (5) Innovation Park Project (1168) Appt.
A recommendation that Earth Tech Canada Inc. be hired for $135,000.00 to be Consulting Engineers for the project’s Detailed Design.
4:00 ETC (6a) Focus Idling Control By-law and Awareness Program
A recommendation that the report BE RECEIVED for information and forwarded to the 2008 Draft Budget Deliberations (Environmental & Engineering Services Department 2008 Business Case Service Growth Report #36).
4:00 ETC (6b) London Idling Control By-law Activities.
A recommendation that the completion of a comprehensive strategy for reducing the amount of vehicle idling including any proposed amendments to the Idling Control By-law BE DEFERRED until March 2008, noting that the budget for this initiative is not to exceed the final budget approved by Council.
