Sued For Being an Exemplary Citizen
Could this happen in Canada? In Ontario? In London?
In San Carlos, California they have a local law which makes homeowners have their garbage picked up by a private contractor. But there’s this fellow who cancelled the service because he doesn’t need it. He doesn’t have any garbage left over after he recycles, composts, sells or gives away everything. So, his city is taking legal action against him.
I’m at a loss. I simply don’t know how to proceed with this post. Is the original post simply some troll’s nonsense that got published when it shouldn’t have? How could this happen?

Things like this one interest me. I see articles, but they are “Green” sites (like TreeHugger) or News Spies (like the ones that post pingbacks to your WP blog).
I checked Snopes to see if they have anything, but no.
I even e-mailed someone in the city department for San Carlos, but haven’t got anything back yet.
I HOPE this isn’t “real”.
Thanks for the comment Mike. I’m not sure what’s up with WP. When I approved it in my Dashboard the submission got highlighted bright red, and when changed to ‘view site’ mode the post said (still does in fact) ‘no comments.’ And yet, there you are
I do like to be current with the things that I post about, but I also feel some responsibility to weed out the unfactual ones as best I can. If you get any response from your email I’d appreciate anything that you’d care to share.
Have a great day.
