Members of the London Police Service Guns and Drugs Section commenced an investigation in October 2008 involving the trafficking of drugs. As a result of that investigation on Tuesday December 30 2008 members of the London Police Service Guns and Drugs Section arrested a male and two females. Three search warrants were executed to residences on Dalhousie Crescent, Thornley Street and to the Forest City Pharmacy located at 9-100 Belmont Drive. Police seized a 2002 Toyota Highlander, a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, a 2007 Pontiac G5, a small quantity of Canadian currency and a small quantity of oxycodone and marihuana. Continue Reading
On Tuesday December 30 2008 at 11:15 pm a lone male entered a residence on Mornington Avenue. The suspect brandished a weapon and demanded property from the 21 and 20 year old male occupants. A struggle ensued between the suspect and the occupants and the suspect fled from the residence without obtaining anything. The occupants received non life threatening injuries during the struggle. On Saturday December 27 2008 at 7:30 pm two males approached a 16 year old male inside of the Kangeroo Variety Store located at 342 Richmond Street. One of suspects brandished a knife and demanded money from the victim. The suspects obtained a quantity of cash and fled on foot. The victim was not injured. Police were called and located and arrested the suspects in the area.
