LTC Fares

The 2009/01/14 LTC agenda includes a letter from Kevin Bain (City Clerk) on behalf of Board of Control, which requests that it “identify any anticipated energy cost savings arising from the recent drop in energy prices…”

I think that probably includes the substantial drop in fuel cost that the LTC used to justify it’s fare increase without so much as holding a single public participation meeting.

What do you think the likelihood is that the LTC will give it’s users a fare reduction?

Wow, I didn’t even realize they upped the price in December.

I doubt that they would ever bring it back down though.I can’t see the city taking a hit in the pocketbook like that after the increase was slipped in. I have a pass from Fanshawe, but if I were paying regular fair I think I would rather pay an extra quarter per ride if they used that money that was supposed to go to high fuel costs to better their service.

Ditto. Lets make these schedules a little less daunting, I’m SICK of waiting for hours for buses and for transfers especially in freezing cold weather.
