Police Release – Shots Fired
On Thursday January 15 2009 at 2:09 pm officers attended an apartment on Oakville Avenue looking for a wanted party. London Police encountered a male and shots were fired. A male citizen was taken to hospital. SIU has been notified and further media enquiries will be directed to them.

As a result of the incident on Oakville Avenue on Thursday January 15 2009, Joseph Barnes is charged with two counts of pointing a firearm, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public peace, carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of forcible confinement, break and enter and possession of cocaine. Joseph Barnes had outstanding warrants for armed robbery, robbery, aggravated assault, criminal harassment, two counts of assault and two counts of possession of stolen property. Further information will not be released as SIU is still continuing their investigation.
