Police Release – Hit & Run

London Police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating the driver of a hit and run vehicle. Yesterday (Monday February 23) at approximately 4:45pm a white Dodge Neon was traveling westbound on Oxford Street near First Street. The driver of this vehicle a female in her 20’s swerved from the curb lane into the centre lane to avoid hitting a dog that had run out onto Oxford Street. The Neon struck the dog and also struck another westbound vehicle on Oxford Street.

The driver of the Neon failed to remain at the collision scene. The dog died as a result of the collision. Police are asking the responsible driver to contact them at 519-661-5680. Police are also asking for anyone who witnessed the event to contact Police at 519-661-5680 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
