Police Release – Officer Saves Driver From Fiery Vehicle

On Tuesday May 19 2009 at 12:03 pm a cubed van was travelling eastbound on Oxford Street when the 28 year old male driver went into medical distress, crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck a westbound vehicle. The two vehicles proceeded to strike an eastbound vehicle. The cubed van caught on fire and the driver was removed from the vehicle by a police officer before the vehicle burst into flames. The 28 year old male was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries. The officer was taken to hospital for precautionary measures and is fine. The 55 year old female of the vehicle and the 42 year old female driver of a third vehicle received non life threatening injuries.
