Cyclist Struck
A London Police Service media release:
On Monday June 29 2009 at 9:11 am Police were called to Trafalgar Street and Clarke Road for a serious collision involving a cyclist struck. The adult male cyclist has been taken to hospital with injuries considered to be life threatening.

On Monday June 29 2009 at 9:11 am a 21 year old male cyclist was travelling westbound on Trafalgar Street, entered the intersection at Clarke Road and was struck by an RV style truck that was travelling northbound on Clarke Road. The 21 year old male has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing.

Earlier this morning on a local radio program Sgt. O’Brien announced that the cyclist involved in the June 29th collision at Clarke and Trafalgar had passed away from his injuries. This information turned out not to be true. The cyclist remains in hospital. Sgt. O’Brien apologizes for the release of this misinformation and specifically apologizes to the friends and family of this cyclist who may have heard the broadcast.
