Telephone Pole Stops Car Thief
Another London Police Service media release from Monday:
On Monday August 17 2009 at 2:06 am an officer observed a vehicle eastbound on Riverside Drive from Wonderland Road. When the officer turned around to follow the vehicle, the vehicle disappeared from view. The officer continued on Riverside Drive and located the vehicle involved in a collision with another vehicle just east of Beaverbrook Avenue. The driver fled on foot from the vehicle, ran directly into a telephone pole, fell to the ground and was taken into custody. The driver of the other vehicle received non life threatening injuries. The arrested male received non life threatening injuries. The vehicle was found to have been stolen earlier from a parking lot on Cherryhill Circle.
Adam Wade 25 years of no fixed address is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, fail to remain at scene of accident, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possession of break and enter tools.
