Dangerous Driving Meat Thief Nabbed

A London Police Service media release:

On Tuesday September 1 2009 at 4:45 am an officer observed a mini van travelling west on Commissioners Road near Frontenac Road at a high rate of speed without headlights on. The officer caught up to the vehicle as it pulled into a driveway on Edna Street. The driver exited and was questioned by the officer. At the same time, the officer received information that there was a recent alarm call to the M&M Meat Shops located at 1166 Commissioners Road West. The officer observed a quantity of meat in the vehicle and arrested the male. A break and enter was found to the M&M Meat Shops and the meat in the van was stolen from the store.

Shane Watson 40 years of no fixed address is charged with break and enter and theft, and mischief (provided false name to officer).
