Mototcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries

London Police Service issued this media release earlier this afternoon:

Police are currently investigating a serious collision involving a motorcycle on Oxford Street at Cherryhill Blvd that occurred shortly before 1 pm. The driver of the motorcycle has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Traffic Reconstruction Team will be attending. Oxford Street between Platts Lane and Proudfoot Lane is closed in both directions, along with Cherryhill Blvd also being closed. Please avoid this area
completely. It is unknown how long the roads will be closed for. The investigation is continuing.

A reminder to AVOID area. London Police are at the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident at Oxford at Cherryhill Blvd. Police have shut down traffic in both directions as well as the access to oxford from Cherryhill.

The London Police Service continues to investigate a serious motor vehicle collision on Oxford St W at Cherryhill Blvd involving a car and a motorcycle. Investigators from the Traffic Management Unit are currently seeking eye witnesses who have not yet come forward to contact the police. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or the events leading up to the collision, and who have not yet spoken to police, are urged to contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670.

The London Police Service has been informed that the 18 years old motorcyclist from Oxford Street Collision on Tuesday has passed away from his injuries.
