Crime Prevention Week – Crime Proofing Tip

It is that time of year to winterize your cottage or trailer. Besides taking the normal precautions to ensure that there is no structural damage due to the harsh weather, you should be crime proofing as well. Lock all windows, vents, openings and doors. Remove all items of value, especially alcoholic beverages, medications, electronics, jewelry, tools and money. Place a sign in the window that indicates that the cottage or trailer has been “crime proofed”.
