Cabbie Assaulted on Fleming Drive
A London Police Service media release:
London Police are investigating an Assault and Auto Theft that occurred on Wednesday November 4 2009. At approximately 2:15 am a 39 year old male cab driver picked up a fare in the area of Highbury Avenue and Oxford Street, then drove into the area of Fanshawe College Blvd and Fleming Drive.
The lone male passenger proceeded to assault the cab driver and the driver exited the vehicle. The suspect got into the driver’s seat, drove the cab on Fleming Drive and then onto a front lawn of a residence. The suspect exited the cab and fled. The victim received non life threatening injuries. Police are looking for a suspect described as:
White male, early 20’s clean shaven, 5’7, 160 lbs, muscular build, short brown hair wearing no shirt, a silver jacket with orange dots and blue jeans. As a result of conversation the name of Travis was provided. It is believed that the suspect lives in the Fleming Drive area.
