Crime Prevention Week – Theft from Vehicles

Theft from vehicles is a crime of opportunity and prime locations are parks, arenas, athletic facilities, and restaurants. You must always plan ahead to avoid becoming a victim:
- Always secure items out of sight prior to arriving at your destination.
- Never leave your wallet or purse in the glove box or trunk as this a prime target for criminals involved in Frauds.
- Watch for suspicious persons when you arrive at the mentioned locations. or very closely when your children are visiting a “chat room” or similar electronic conversation area
