A London Police Service media release:

London Police Service are investigating a theft of a Poppy box from the Real Canadian Superstore located at 825 Oxford St E. The theft occurred on Tuesday November 03, 2009 at 11:30 am and was captured on video surveillance. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual responsible for the theft.

On Friday November 6 2009 at 8:50 am a citizen contacted Police advising the suspect involved in the theft from the poppy box on November 3 2009 was walking on Quebec Street from Dundas Street. Police arrested the male and charges have now been laid.

Douglas Allan Newton, 19 years of London is charged with theft under $5000.
