Hatchet Wielding Robber

A London Police Service media release:

On November 11 2009 at 8 pm a 40 year old male heard a knock at the door to his residence on Maitland Street. When he opened the door a male brandished a hatchet and demanded money from the victim. No money was obtained the suspect fled.

Police were contacted and located the male suspect in the area of Maitland Street and King Street. While being searched officers located a hatchet protruding from the suspect’s pants. The suspect fled from Police and after a foot chase with the suspect he was arrested in a rear yard to a residence on Maitland Street. Police recovered a hatchet in the area. The victim was not injured. Nothing was stolen.

Maxim Salmon 37 years of no fixed address is charged with armed robbery, uttering threats, carrying a concealed weapon, weapons dangerous, resist arrest and escape lawful custody.
