Knifepoint Cab Robbery
A London Police Service media release:
On Monday December 7th, 2009, at 11:45 pm, two males entered a cab at Dundas and Maitland Street. They instructed the male driver to take them to Wellington and Grosvenor Street. When they arrived the front passenger pulled a knife on the driver and demanded cash.
The cab driver turned over his cash and the two suspects fled on foot. Police attended, along with a K-9 officer. The area was searched but with negative results. A quantity of cash was stolen. The cab driver was not injured.
The first suspect is described as a male white, early 20’s, tall, thin build, blonde hair, green eyes, with a thin goatee, and a sharp nose. He was wearing a grey hoodie and black pants.
The second suspect is described as being an unshaven white male wearing a hoodie under a coat with a ball cap..

On December 17 2009 London Police identified and arrested the two males involved in this robbery.
- Matthew PALMER, 33yrs, of London is charged with Robbery.
- Michael HACKETT, 33yrs, of London is charged with Robbery and Carrying an Concealed Weapon.
