Choking Babies

With crowded households and lots of presents being unwrapped, Christmas can be a dangerous time for children of all ages. As this Friday London Police Service media release exemplifies:

As of 1 pm on December 25, 2009 London Police responded to two separate incidents of babies choking. Fortunately, both babies fully recovered once the initial obstruction was cleared.

London Police wish to remind everyone that the holiday season includes items that would be attractive to babies and toddlers alike. Small, shiny objects like Christmas tree decorations and wrapping paper can easily obstruct a child’s airway.

Please prevent any tragedies from happening!
