Suspicious Death in Wellington Road Hotel

On Monday, February 1, 2010 at 5:07 pm the London Police Service attended a hotel located at 855 Wellington Road South, London. One male was arrested at that location. A deceased female was discovered in one of the rooms. Police are considering the death suspicious. The police will be at 855 Wellington Road South, London for several hours investigating the death.

On Monday, February 1, 2010, the London Police Service was assisting the St Thomas Police Service in locating a missing person, Marie Roberts, 29 years of St Thomas. At approximately 5:00 pm, the London Police Service attended a hotel located at 855 Wellington Road South, London. David Hatch, 30 years of Calgary, Alberta was arrested at that location. Police attended a room in the hotel and discovered a deceased female. This female has been identified as the missing person, Marie Roberts. David Hatch and Marie Roberts were known to each other. David Hatch has been charged with first degree murder and failing to comply with a recognizance.

The cause of death was a gunshot wound. The murder was domestic related.
