Superbowl Weekend RIDE Check
A London Police Service media release:
Over the Superbowl weekend, police conducted a number of RIDES and found a better result than the previous weekend.
Nearly 2,000 vehicles were stopped in the various spotchecks and only 1 driver was arrested for impaired driving. Two other drivers had their licences suspended for having more than the .05 BAC limit.
In addition to the RIDE spotchecks patrol officers arrested three other drivers during the weekend for impaired driving.
This was a marked improvement compared to the previous weekend of drinking driving activity.
