What Happened at AWAC?
After the bit of unexpected value-added excitement at yesterday’s ETC meeting I didn’t expect any more surprises, but I was wrong.
At the tail end of the meeting, after most people (including Councillor Hubert) had departed (but before the meeting had been formally concluded), Councillor Branscombe raised an issue with respect to an incident that is reported to have occurred at the last meeting of the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee (AWAC). Specifically, the possibility that Councillor Caranci may have threatened to “pull the plug” on that committee:
