Please be advised of my latest concern with respect to pedestrian safety, specifically an application for a possible land-use change at 951 Commissioners Road East which may represent a planned development that might increase traffic volume and risk to pedestrians.
I ask that you note especially, the difficulty that exists in getting information in a timely fashion about issues that impact the pedestrian community. Were there a Pedestrian Committee at City Hall, pedestrian advocates like myself would have a much better chance to be informed and to participate in the democratic process.
I would like to speak to your committee about the manner in which my proposal for a Pedestrian Committee was treated by ETC and Board of Control.
There are also many pedestrian safety issues which I would like to address with your committee (see the included October 17 email to Mr. Lucas which was ignored).
Respectfully,
Greg Fowler
