Local climate justice group speaks up for striking transit workers.

Mobilization for Climate Justice-London (M4CJ), an environmental justice group here in London, Ontario, has issued a statement, trying to make the case to other environmentalists that they should support London’s transit workers (A.T.U. Local 741) in their strike against their employer, the London Transit Commission (LTC).

As of today, November 20, 2009 at 3:30 p.m., the London Transit Commission has not received a response to the November 17, 2009 request for a written confirmation of any revised proposal from the ATU Local 741. Further, the London Transit Commission has not received a revised formal position through the provincial mediator.
