Should circuses be prohibited in London? (poll)
Toronto Mayor David Miller has asked the province’s municipalities to support a handgun ban following passage of this recommendation by the executive committee of the City of Toronto:
That City Council request the Parliament of Canada to prohibit all handguns in Canada, including the sale or purchase and/or possession of any handgun by any Canadian citizen or any person within Canada (excluding police officers and military personnel).
Board of Control was subsequently lobbied by several groups and asked the City Solicitor to draft motions for the following two options:
(a) a motion which would support a total ban on handguns: and
(b) a motion which would support a ban on handguns with exceptions for registered gun
clubs, for sporting events and for training purposes. Continue Reading
Prior to the last meeting of London’s Community and Protective Services Committee, I alerted you to a public meeting about the proposed ban on the sale of alcohol at the city facilities where receptions are held.
Although there may have been a member or two of the public who were interested enough to make the trek to City Hall and listen to the proceedings, there were no presenters.

Today upon arriving home I received an email from a journalist working for the French CBC Radio (based in Toronto) informing me that they are looking to do a long feature story on the drive-through debate going recently in the City of London (Ontario).
Im sitting here (while working from home today) with my web browser open with about a billion tabs open, all having a different article open having to deal with the Drive-Thru debate that is once again a hot topic in London. (for a little tidbit check out the London Free Press Article).
