Today’s Windsor Star (”Traffic Fines”) editorial correctly states that fines “are already an effective tool” because they’re “already among the highest in North America.”
Which is why it makes sense to raise them even more.
And it says that “the biggest deterrent to reckless driving…is the impact tickets have on our insurance rates.”
Also true. Provided there’s sufficient police enforcement. And that requires having cops on the street.

Given today’s LPS media release about the rollerblader who was struck by a car yesterday and is in serious condition, I’ve decided to share this recent inquiry with you. So far, there’s been no response from LPS.
