14 photographers met at an East London coffee house for the first London Photo Walk yesterday.

After taking into consideration the input that people gave in regards to time, place etc. it seemed as if the following was the most appropriate for London’s “first” (?) Group/”Official” (?) PhotoWalk.

It’s “official.” After a week of community input and hearing what everyone has to say about where and when they would like to participate in a PhotoWalk something has now been “scheduled”.

Is there any rule that says public art can’t also be functional as well? If not, then London might want to reconsider the garish metal trees that it’s deployed throughout the core area.
Over in Vienna, Austria they’re field-testing designer trees that are actually solar-powered lights that should slash utility costs and cut down on carbon emissions.
